The 21st century is known for the technology era and data is the most valuable wealth come out from this technology. To protect this wealth by any meant is the prime duty of Cyber Security experts, by keeping this objective the Sanjivani University has established Department of Cyber Security since 2024 with an intake of 120. Department is well equipped with qualified faculty and state-of-the art classrooms and laboratories. Cyber Security programme is useful to produce skilled engineer in the field of network security, disaster recovery, information security, IoT security, Cloud security, Application security, End point security, Telematics etc. at how to actively monitor and defend the data, utilize cyber security measures to protect the data and information. In addition, this programme will help to train students to scale up the demand from multiple industrial areas on the cyber world to endorse effective methods practices and tools to counter the cybercrime. Cyberspace is a limitless stretch so the attack can occur in any area. Cyber security is the body of technologies, processes, and practices designed to protect networks, computers, and data from attack, damage, and unauthorized access. Choice based subject selection makes students free environment to lead as per their interest. Department focus is to provide necessary platform and environment to bring students’ talent ahead. Nurture the students’ talent and convert it to skill is the fundamental duty of the department. Department has followed all the rules and regulations laid down by NEP-2020 for designing curriculum. Students of Cyber Security department is getting hands-on training from industrial experts from Fortinet as department have MoU with the same.
