Ph.D. Admission

1. Master’s Degree Holders

• Candidates must have completed one of the following:
  • A 1-year/2-semester master’s degree program in the relevant field, as per the National Education Policy (NEP), after completing a 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree program.
  • A 2-year/4-semester master’s degree program in the relevant field, as per NEP, after completing a 3-year bachelor’s degree program.
  • Equivalent qualifications recognized by the corresponding statutory regulatory body.
• Minimum Marks:
  • At least 55% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade on a point scale (wherever the grading system is followed).
  • Equivalent qualifications from foreign institutions must be accredited by an authorized agency recognized by law in the institution's home country.
• Relaxation:
  • A relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade is allowed for candidates belonging to:
    • SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)
    • Differently Abled
    • Economically Weaker Section (EWS)
    • Other categories as per UGC guidelines.

2. M.Phil. Degree Holders

• Candidates who have completed an M.Phil. program with at least 55% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade on a point scale (wherever the grading system is followed).
• Equivalent qualifications from foreign institutions must be accredited by an authorized agency recognized by law in the institution's home country.
• Relaxation:
  • A relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade is allowed for candidates belonging to:
    • SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)
    • Differently Abled
    • Economically Weaker Section (EWS)
    • Other categories as per UGC guidelines.
